MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally towards Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. In Medellin, the Sony label La Industria Inc. released ADN the debut album of his long-playing career. The album reached the top of the charts at number eight on the Top Latin Albums charts. Following that year, he teamed up with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel on Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina the next year. Later in 2021 he performed the duet for TINI's streaming smash track Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, which included the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo was born into a musical household his mother and older brother are both musicians. In interviews, he described the importance of music as a requirement. When a young boy, he studied the guitar and saxophone. His initial choice of career was to be a veterinarian however, his brother Julian persuaded him to learn how to sing under the help of a Cuban teacher. It was the result that he discovered his own ability to sing and also changed the course his life.
